When low self-esteem becomes a long term issue it can have a detrimental effect on your mental health. Self- esteem is the opinion you hold of yourself.
When you possess healthy self-esteem you tend to feel more positive about yourself and more able to deal with the ups and downs of everyday life. However, the experience of low self-esteem will leave you with a more critical and negative view of yourself and less equipped to take on the challenges life will throw at you. It is the constant negative self-talk….telling yourself that you are not good enough, that you are underserving of the good things in life that can lead to a lack of confidence and self-esteem.
Hypnotherapy can help to address this destructive cycle, it can quell the internal chatter box and silence it once and for all freeing you to be your authentic self.
All phobias are learned from experience and are an intense fear of something that in reality poses little or no actual danger.
Common phobias include fear of heights, fear of open or closed-in spaces, fear of spiders, snakes or needles, to name but a few.
You will probably realise that your fear is unreasonable but you are still unable to control your reactions and feelings towards the perceived danger. Just thinking about the feared object or situation can result in you experiencing of feelings of extreme anxiety and, exposed to that you fear most, the terror can be automatic and overwhelming.
Hypnotherapy works by accessing the underlying cause of the phobia and eliminating the conditioned response to the stimulus.
In recent decades the pace of life has increased dramatically and many of us seem to experience daily life as an emergency situation…everything has to be done now and at breakneck speed, conquering one hurdle after another.
The causes of stress are many including pressure to perform at work or school, debt, unemployment, family conflicts, divorce and bereavement.
We each have our own very different reactions to stress. For some, it can be a useful motivator to help them achieve goals and achieve more. In others, particularly if the stress has gone on for a long time, it can evoke feelings of being unable to cope. It can also result in mental distress including anxiety depression and phobias as well as physical ailments including stomach problems, skin conditions, headaches and palpitations.
Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective treatment in terms of dealing with the causes and symptoms of stress. It will help you to build your inner resources to create positive reactions to outside influences and therefore reduce the symptoms of stress.
Remember 10% of life is what happens to you…..90% of life is decided by how you react.
You will probably know the answer to the difficulties you are experiencing.
However, very often it is the fear of change, the fear of being unable to cope that is preventing you from moving forward.
Hypnotherapy will help you make sense of the vortex of thoughts and emotions you are currently experiencing and help you to move forward to make changes with confidence and positivity.
Hypnotherapy can help to address the underlying causes as well as help to find more effective coping behaviours. It can help a person to achieve a happier mood and help to decrease or dispel pessimistic and negative thoughts.

Hypnotherapy is a proven and highly effective way to become a non-smoker. In just one session I can help return to a smoke free life.
There are many misconceptions that abound regarding hypnosis ………it is not mind control; it is not a state of deep sleep and it cannot be used to induce you to do anything you do not want to do.
Quite simply, hypnosis involves the induction of a trance like condition similar to the feeling everyone experiences when falling to sleep. It allows you to experience an enhanced state of awareness enabling you to concentrate entirely on the voice of the hypnotherapist. In this trance like state your conscious mind is inhibited and your subconscious mind revealed. This allows the therapist to effectively help you deal with any irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts, unwanted behaviours and suppressed emotions you wish to overcome.
For example, Kate wanted to overcome her fear of flying and had tried everything consciously to do this but the negative experience was rooted deep within her subconscious mind. After a couple of sessions of hypnotherapy, progress was made to overcome this phobia by reprogramming the subconscious mind so that her deep seated phobia of flying was removed allowing her to experience the joy of travelling.
I went for hypnotherapy with Jane to help with relaxation. Following a consultation, the sessions I had were extremely therapeutic and I felt that the visualisation techniques she used on me were very cleverly reflective of my imagination. I hadn’t considered hypnotherapy before but Jane delivered such a personalised and beneficial experience that I would highly recommend her to anyone. Not only a highly reputable hypnotherapist, Jane also has a very warm and welcoming personality
